This stately 7-year-old gentleman is a sweet VERY handsome boy who loves head scratches and other sanctioned forms of affection. It may take him a moment to earn his trust but once that happens he is all yours. We have discovered that he has a degenerative spinal condition that is being managed but does prevent him from moving around like most cats. A house full of stairs would probably not be a great idea because he can't really climb them and being held/carried is also quite uncomfortable, but he will want to be with you. His discomfort is currently managed with medication, but there are some other therapies that may also be helpful if you are open to trying them. They are just not as conducive to a foster situation. We would be thrilled to find this lovely boy a home with someone who was around to give him all the love, care, and attention he deserves. Given his condition, a home with itty bitty and/or overly enthusiastic miniature humans is probably not for him. He has also not lived or been around dogs and unless it was a totally lazy senior who completely ignored him, it's probably too late to add the stress of learning to live with them now. He has come from a home with other cats but they were housed separately. He would probably be okay with another quiet, slow, older kitty, but he is not going to be able to hold his own in even the smallest kerfuffle and that could be very stressful.
