Sweetie Petey (~8yrs) is the most appropriately named kitties we've had in a while. His story is sad and frustrating all wrapped up in one. Petey came to us from a sister rescue in a sister city where folks sing the blues instead of country.
Our rescue friends down there saved his life. He was on death's doorstep and could barely walk when he was dumped at the shelter along with 3 other cats because his person died. That person's daughter brought them in and apparently, as she surrendered them, laughed about the money her mom left her to care for precious kitties. They are not generally set up for serious medical cases, so they called us for help and got him to Nashville ASAP. He has been recovering and is now in much better shape and just needs to put back on some weight. We listed him as special needs because his health will need some monitoring. He has asymptomatic cardiomyopathy and very early signs of renal failure. He is not clinical for either of these things. He is not taking medications. He will need his heart conditioned monitored, but we can go over all that when we talk. So, if you would like to give Sweetie P. the loving forever home that he had previously with a mom who cared for him very much but sadly he lost when she passed away, please complete and submit our application at www.FLUFFNashville.org.* *Helpful Hint: you are welcome to submit inquiries first, however, if you are really interested, we strongly recommend that you go ahead and submit an application because others are and this kitty may be gone by the time we get your inquiries answered.
