When the shelter in Louisiana reached out desperate to help little Toph, we were so grateful to be able to tell them that we could do it!
This tiny angel was born with a congenital eye defect called eyelid agenesis which requires intricate specialized surgery to correct. Her lack of upper eyelids causes severe irritation. Without this surgery, she would grow up in a great deal of pain and could lose her eyes due to chronic inflammation. Fortunately, our vet has the skills, and she is doing great and is about to start the search for her forever home!
Toph is the sweetest little girl. Everyone who meets her falls instantly in love. She is fun and funny and gets along with the others in the house, human and non-human alike!
