We heard about Mr. Bean needing some serious help and we were grateful to be in a position to do so. He had a horrible infection in his eye that had been left unattended so long that there was nothing that could be done except to remove it. Fortunately, cats have so many amazingly wonderful senses that sight is really one of the least of them! So, losing a little of that really doesn't leave him disabled in any way! And don't worry, the pictures make it look way more noticeable than it will. They had to shave around his eye for the surgery and the fur hasn't grown back yet and on a black cat that white skin makes it look really noticeable. The eye itself has almost completely healed and in no time at all that fur will be all grown back and you won't even notice that he is winking at you all the time! You'll just think he is the most incorrigible flirt! And maybe he is! ;-) He really is a great guy who will make a wonderful friend and companion and deserves all the best in life!
