Meet Mr. Handsome Murray. He is such a great guy. His only hiccup... he didn't so well on his FIV test. He tested positive, but before you walk away, please know this is really not likely to be a problem. FIV is a virus that can affect the immune system. It is not easily passed to other cats (pretty much takes mating or a REALLY deep bite wound and with cats, that usually only comes with mating, since he is neutered neither of these is a problem). Cats with FIV can live long happy, healthy lives, as long as they are indoor only and have a good healthy diet and don't have a lot of stress in their lives. One of our fosters had an FIV+ kitty who lived happily for 18 years (we should all be that lucky). He would do well as an only child, but honestly, we wouldn't necessarily avoid putting an easy-going + kitty with FIV - kitties. He is sweet, a little shy at first (as most cats are) until he gets comfortable in his new home. Siamese cats are great! They are loyal and loving to their person and make wonderful companions. If you would like to have this wonderful boy in your life, please complete our application at www.FLUFFNashville.org.*
*Helpful Hint: you are welcome to submit inquiries first, however, if you are really interested, we strongly recommend that you go ahead and submit an application because others are and this kitty may be gone by the time we get your inquiries answered.
