This amazing 12-year-old purebred American Curl is just the sweetest girl ever! This is rather a rare breed to find in rescue. She came to us when a friend contacted us from a local vet clinic where her owner was wanting to surrender her. He had had her her whole life, but now had a significant other who hated cats and they got a puppy together who was tormenting her relentlessly. It turned out that we had already talked to him and tried to give him advice that would allow her to stay in her home, but alas, he chose to surrender her instead. So, sadly, this stunning girl who should be enjoying her retirement in the safety of her home and with the love of her person is now in an unfamiliar world hoping to find someone who will love her and allow her to live a quiet, peaceful life with them. So, this girl needs a calm quiet home. We aren't going to say outright that she must be an only child, but in all likelihood that is what will be best for her unless your current pets are really calm and easy going. We think she would be happiest without young children. She can seem quite shy when you first meet her, but she is extremely sweet, gentle, and loving.
