This precious girl was rescued from a local shelter where she was barely alive. She was severely emaciated, anemic, very sick, and she wobbled when she walked. No one was sure exactly what was wrong, but we took the kitchen sink approach and figured we had to throw the big guns at her. After a very precarious weekend with a determined but worried foster mom giving her round the clock care, antibiotics began to kick in, she began to eat, she started to come alive. It turns out she had meningitis. The, a turn for the worse, pneumonia. After a couple of days at the emergency hospital on oxygen and high test IV antibiotics, she once again rallied and TA DA! Here she is! One seriously determined-to-live little girl!! She does still wobble when she walks and if she runs too fast she will fall over, but it doesn't limit her at all. She uses her litterbox just fine and she is just a fabulous little girl. Because she has been so sick during her formative weeks, she would probably benefit from having an appropriately aged brother or sister to play with. Though she hasn't met Atticus Finch, they could be a precious pair!
