Irmie Needs a Home!! Irmie is just the sweetest, most fabulous boy evah! He hasn't stopped giving headbutts, making biscuits or purring since he was saved! His story is a sad one with what we hope will be a very happy ending. One of our sister dog rescues went down to southern FL to evacuate their foster dogs from the area in anticipation of Hurricane Irma's wrath. Once they arrived, they became aware of the local Mayor's decision that all shelter animals must be euthanized in anticipation of the storm. This was about a week before the storm was scheduled to arrive. There was one kitten in the shelter, but the powers that be said not to waste the euthanasia solution on him and to just throw him out on the streets. Thank goodness for the wonderful people in this rescue who pulled as many dogs as they possibly could from this shelter and one kitten! We share a vet with this group and were happy that we could help when they reached out to us. Thanks to these big fluffy dog rescuers, a kitten is now alive and well and ready to find his forever home!
