Flapjack Zot He is adjusting to his new home, slowly and cautiously getting familiar to all areas of the house. He is such a sweet boy and he is eating, drinking, and using his litter box just fine. Until this morning he was hiding under the nightstand on my side of the bed but came out for eating and necessary business at night. His first night he came out in the middle of the night and jumped on our bed for pets but then went on exploring the house. Last night he didn't come to our bed but he accepted pets from me with my hand over the bed and he readily played with Natasha using his feather toy. This morning he was back under the night stand and I laid down on the floor and softly talked to him. After a short time he crawled out on his own and came to me, still laying on the floor, and he accepted copious amounts of pets. He went back to exploring and then came back to me for more pets and then he jumped onto the bed and accepted more pets while we were on the bed. I am guessing he will need several more days or longer to feel more comfortable with doing away with his night stand sanctuary but he can have all the time he needs. We are so happy to have him join our family and will give him loving and happy home where he will be well cared for.
